5. Hours of work for normal working day.

(1) The number of hours of work which shall constitute normal working day for an employee whose wage period is on a daily basis shall be eight hours and interval for rest shall be in accordance with notification issued in this regard under Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 (37 of 2020).

(2) The number of hours of work which shall constitute a normal working day for an employee whose wage period is other than on a daily basis shall be so fixed that the total number of weekly working hours shall not exceed forty-eight hours.
